Fifty years ago, on April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated in Memphis, TN.  King was in Memphis that day in an effort to rally support for the AFSCME sanitation workers' strike, which had started that February, over dangerous working conditions and the deaths of two men who were crushed to death in garbage compactors. The struggle for equality for all remains a preeminent challenge today. This video tells the story of those times.
